Wiser has been working with Deutsche Bank for the last five years, helping them authentically connect with demographics of students they struggle to reach on their own. Each year, we take a diverse cohort of their ex-interns and spring weekers and train them up to become Ambassadors back on campus. The Wiser team manage them throughout the academic year, helping them make connections with diverse networks of students on campus and promote Deutsche Bank’s opportunities, with a particular focus on their Rise, Grow and Advance spring week programmes for students from black heritage, female and lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
HARNESSING THE POWER OF PEER-TO-PEER PROMOTION TO REACH DIVERSE GROUPS OF STUDENTS
Ambassadors are converted off Deutsche Bank’s diversity spring week programmes and internships, and trained up by the Wiser team to articulate the bank’s offering back at their universities. We equip them with the tools and skills they need to reach a wide audience via word of mouth through society and course networks as well as using social media to reach the masses via viral posting.

The Wiser Academy X programme is a high-touch experience for the Ambassadors, created bespoke for each client we partner with.
One of the key outcomes of the programme, as well as the authentic brand advocacy and tangible ROI driven through referrals, is the “keep warm” element it offers to a brand’s converted spring weekers, interns and placements.
For DB, we brought the Ambassador experience to life in multiple ways. From the onboarding package sent directly to each Ambassador upon joining, containing exclusive DB Ambassador merch, to birthday cards posted on the big day. Additionally, we kept Ambassadors engaged throughout the programme, inviting them to a WhatsApp community to network with one another, share tips & tricks and celebrate successes. Each month, we designed and delivered a branded newsletter, keeping them in the loop with commercial awareness snippets, updates from DB and ‘Ambassador of the month’ shoutouts.
On top of their hourly pay, Ambassadors were also incentivised when someone they referred bagged a role at DB, or when they did exceptional work going above and beyond for Deutsche Bank. We also provided an end-of-year self-care package to help the Ambassadors relax as they entered their exam period, and hosted monthly drop-in calls with the Wiser team to gain advice on the role, university or their careers.
